STRONE: Home, was launched in Las Vegas tonight by Strone Technology at the 2015 CES.

Strone (*STReaming your phONE), a small, self funded startup from Melbourne, Australia will solve a worldwide fear of bill shock when communicating while travelling overseas.

STRONE: Home is a hardware device that turns GSM phone calls and messages into data calls and messages that can be accessed by any internet enabled device. Strone apps will available for Android, iOS, Web, Android and Apple Wear, Car Play and Android Auto.

Tas Tudor, CEO & Co-Founder of Strone Technology, said that the idea came from frustration when he was overseas and couldn’t be contacted by colleagues or call home without huge costs, needing a new sim or mobile number, or prearrange a time to call.

“We offer consumers the freedom to be connected on their own cell number, anywhere in the world on any device they choose - laptop, tablet, connected motor vehicle or smart phone.

“By inserting a sim card into the Strone hardware and pairing with our easy to use apps, customers can for the first time keep their OWN cell number no matter which global GSM carrier they are with and control global roaming charges,” said Mr Tudor.

“Fear of exorbitant international roaming charges is the major issue for travellers and nobody has been able to provide a genuine solution to avoid cost and inconvenience, no matter which carrier or which country you travel to.
